http://www.flyparamania.com Paramania team pilots Dean Eldridge and Sylvain Moisseron take the new GTR out for a slalom in the beautiful mountains of South Eastern France close to Annecy and where Coupe Icare is held every year.
Watch the exciting action as these two pilots swoop and slingshot themselves around and over trees and bushes. Filmed with four cameras from different angles all of the time using GoPros and Sony Digital HD cameras.
The GTR is available now to advanced pilots, in sizes 18, 20 & 24m complete with an 8m racing pylon to practice with.
The Parabatix Sky Racers are back! For a special edition of Parabatix called Icarobatix that will be held high in the Rhone Alps in association with the largest free flight festival in the world ‘The Coupe Icare‘ an event that attracts around 30,000 people over the weekend.
Six of the highest placed Sky Racers will battle it out in a two day Sky Race for the Icare trophy!
So come and watch this spectacular aerial extravaganza Friday (warm up), Saturday & Sunday mornings (10:30am to 12:30pm) at the top take off of St Hilaire.
A simple race, without many setbacks for the pilot, based on the pleasure of flying, where the pilot has time to take off, not being nervous, no stress, a wide window with a clear objective race, with an outlet defined and the same time for all pilots, marked with beacons, being able to use the GPS, mobile phone and all the possible technologies for the pilot to have all the possibilities.
Race is a test of speed. It’s about doing different rounds of different mileages and difficulties, different routes well marked with beacons, starting and finishing at the same airfield (if weather permits). There will be good access for picking up, if a pilot decided to leave the race by engine problems or other causes.
With the possibility of trying to beat the world speed record in the form triangle 25, 50 and 100 km. The whole design of this race is based on, take off our airfield around Baza and reach or turn around other airfields in the area, either for refueling or safety.
THE RACE WE’LL BE GOVERNED BY THE “FAI” RULES (International Aeronautical Federation).

Freedom Flight Center is once again proud to invite you to “The World’s Most Beautiful Beaches” and Beach Blast 2011 “Flying in Paradise”. 300 plus ppg pilots from 14 countries attended last years event and were treated to sugar white sands, and pristine gin clear water of the Gulf of Mexico.
One of the many features of this unique fly in is that many pilots families also join them for Beach Blast as this is truly a resort for the entire family. Edgewater Beach Resort boasts 110 acres of accommodations including shopping, laser tag, parasailing, jet skis, fine dining, cocktail bars, Pizza Hut, and Starbucks right on premises. Many pilots commented how nice it was to take a flight and then be able to spend time with their families in the many activities and then return to the beach to fly again anytime they pleased. Vendors row was stacked with the latest and greatest of gear from major manufacturers here and abroad and pilots from major wing companies flying exhibitions for the crowds.
This year they will be holding the “Beach Blast 2011 National Comps” as Well as “Beach Blast 2011 Kiting Challenge”. Last years event produced an all time classic kiting competition that had the crowd roaring as contestants competed for cash and trophies.
