Parafest 2017 – the UKs Largest Paramotor Show 30th June to 2nd July

Now in its third year, Parafest has become the ‘must go to’ event in every pilots calendar.

Parafest 2017 dates are confirmed as June 30 – July 2 at Caerwys, the same spectacular site on the North Wales coast as Parafest 2016.
Everyone is equally welcome. Paramotors, Paragliders, hang gliders, powered hang gliders, SSDR, non pilots and children. More emphasis has been put on the non flying entertainment for 2017 to give Parafest its family friendly festival feel and we will have a full line-up of entertainment for adults and children alike. The camping fields will be open from the weekend before the festival starts (June 24) so you can arrive early, grab the best pitch and enjoy what Wales has to offer.
The GREAT news is that the powered pilots can use the massive field next to the festival site!

The many North Wales paragliding sites are also within easy driving distance from the festival and we have experienced local pilots offering details and site briefs to visiting pilots. One of the hills can be seen from the festival site and if conditions allow pilots will be able to glide back and land at Parafest.
The two most important things for a festival have already been booked, the stage and the bar.

The line-up is growing fast – Fire breathing circus acrobats, Fleetwood Mac and Pink Floyd tribute acts are already confirmed, with more in the running, jostling for position.

Saturday night is 80’s night and we are currently in negotiation with one of the UK’s top 80’s tribute acts to come and entertain us. So don’t forget your leg warmers and your shoulder pads..!!
Parafest is brought to you by a select and altruistic group of fly hard, play hard Paramotor pilots.

The Paramotor Party Boyz guarantee a good time will be had by all.

If you only go to one UK flying event in 2017 then, you need to make sure it’s the best, which means you must go to Parafest.
New website with full details and online ticket sales goes live in January.

Based in North Wales for its country central location, its close proximity to some great paragliding sites and with a field reserved for paramotor flying pilots will enjoy breathtaking views along the North Wales coast into Snowdonia National Park and beyond.
Whether you’re a seasoned pilot, a new pilot or a wannabee pilot Parafest has it all in one great location, close to the coast and surrounded by the natural beauty of North Wales.

Hang glider pilots, powered or unpowered, this is also for you. It’s all foot launched flying fun.

Parfaits field is just a 5 minute flight from the coast. With its smooth sea breeze and big sandy beaches the coastline is a paramotor pilot’s paradise.
You can follow the coastline from Talacre beach with its deserted lighthouse, past the holiday towns of Prestatyn, Rhyl and Abergele all the way to Llandudno and its pier.
Fly over the Great Orme and give a wave to the skiers and toboggan riders on the dry slope or you can fly inland to the summit of Snowdon, less than 30 miles away as the paramotor flies. From the coast to the flatlands or into the mountains, Parafest has it all.

New engine from Polish manufacturer TechnoFly, the Rotor H-130

TechnoFly the company that brought us the Ventor 125 a light weight engine that incorporated a clutch, a geared re-drive and an electric starter all into a 13.3kg engine package.

The new engine dubbed the ROTOR H-130 claims to produce 65kg thrust yet is only 11.3kg complete with exhaust.

TechnoFly state that the engine is designed with a horizontal cooling head for improve airflow.
