Current battery technology lithium-ion, lead acid, and nickel metal hydride batteries may offer better performance than nicad, alkaline, lead acid, they are still not good for powering a paramotor – they’re heavy, expensive, and have known flammability issues.

The PolyZion research project are developing zinc-plastic batteries for use in hybrid and electric vehicles. They aim is to produce a rechargeable battery that is cheaper, lighter, safer, with more power, more green and fast charging.
Heres hoping they succeed soon and we can all be flying electric paramotors in the not to distant future.
